Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr. Sean Allers

Dr. Sean Allers

Medical Director, BVetMed MRCVS

Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Allers moved to the United Kingdom in 2011 to see the world and attend the Royal Veterinary College of London. Despite all plans to move back to the U.S. upon graduation in 2015, he met his wonderful wife while in vet school and moved to Manchester, UK for the next five years. While there he worked at a small general practice for one year before taking on a Medical Director role at a three-vet practice. In 2020 Dr. Allers and his wife decided it was time to move back to the US and set some roots in Charlotte, NC where he joined the Mint Hill Animal Hospital Team as Medical Director.

When Dr. Allers and Dr. Allers aren’t at work or discussing their interesting cases over dinner, they enjoy spending time hiking, boating or generally being outdoors. They are the proud owners of two wonderful rescue cats: Princess Peach Strudel and Wolfy Barnaby Allers.

Dr. Mitchell Mills

Dr. Mitchell Mills, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Mills grew up on a small farm in Maryland where horses first piqued his interest in veterinary medicine. He attended Frostburg State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. Subsequently, he attended Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and earned his Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine. It was there that Dr. Mills gained a strong interest in medicine of all species and afterward practiced in mixed animals in northern Virginia. In 2021 Dr. Mills made the move to North Carolina to pursue work exclusively with large animals until his latest endeavor joining the team at Mint Hill Animal Hospital to work solely with small animals.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Mills likes to spend time outdoors. He has two wonderful dogs and particularly enjoys training his retriever, Kent.
