Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Sean Allers
Medical Director, BVetMed MRCVS
Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Allers moved to the United Kingdom in 2011 to see the world and attend the Royal Veterinary College of London. Despite all plans to move back to the U.S. upon graduation in 2015, he met his wonderful wife while in vet school and moved to Manchester, UK for the next five years. While there he worked at a small general practice for one year before taking on a Medical Director role at a three-vet practice. In 2020 Dr. Allers and his wife decided it was time to move back to the US and set some roots in Charlotte, NC where he joined the Mint Hill Animal Hospital Team as Medical Director.
When Dr. Allers and Dr. Allers aren’t at work or discussing their interesting cases over dinner, they enjoy spending time hiking, boating or generally being outdoors. While they don’t currently have any pets they are on the lookout for a critter in need of a new home.
Dr. Allison Jones, DVM
Dr. Jones earned her doctorate degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Georgia in 1995. She has been with Mint Hill Animal Hospital since 2000.
At home, Dr. Jones has three cats (including Monty, a special-needs cat) and a dog, Sophie. She also has a horse named Abigail. Her hobbies include dressage, reading, and hiking.
Dr. Katherine Lentz, DVM
Dr. Lentz graduated in 2021 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts. She completed her clinical year in Louisiana at LSU, where she developed a love of surgery, dentistry, and rehabilitation medicine. As a young veterinarian, she is very excited to get to know her patients and clients.
She relocated to North Carolina from Maryland in February and has enjoyed all that Charlotte has to offer. On her days off Dr. Lentz enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading, and exploring her new home. At home, she has two island rescue pups dubbed coconut retrievers and a sweet Kittitian kitty.
